How long does it actually take to ship a prefab home?

This is one of the first questions every international client asks, and for good reason — a home or furniture order is a serious investment, and an open-ended timeline is hard to plan around. Here's a realistic, region-by-region breakdown of what to expect.

Lead times by region

These are indicative windows from production start to delivery, covering fabrication, quality inspection and international shipping:

Southeast Asia4–8 weeks
Australia & New Zealand6–9 weeks
Middle East (GCC)8–11 weeks
Europe & UK8–12 weeks
Americas (US, Canada, LatAm)10–14 weeks

These are reference ranges, not guarantees — actual timelines depend on order complexity, destination port logistics and seasonal shipping demand. We give you a specific estimate once your project is scoped.

What happens during that window

The lead time isn't just transit on a cargo ship. It covers: prefabrication at our Bali workshop, quality control inspection of every component, packing and export documentation, international shipping, and customs clearance at the destination. Installation by licensed local contractors happens after arrival — see our full prefab homes process for how these stages connect.

Why we don't promise a single universal number

Every destination has different port infrastructure, customs processes and seasonal shipping congestion — a single "X weeks, guaranteed" claim across every country would be either too conservative for most clients or unrealistic for some of them. Giving honest, region-specific ranges lets you plan a realistic move-in date instead of anchoring to a number that doesn't hold up.

How to plan around it

If you have a hard deadline — a lease ending, a planned relocation, a rental season — tell us during the quoting stage, not after signing. We can usually tell you early whether a timeline is realistic for your destination, and if it isn't, we'll say so rather than promise something we can't deliver.

Frequently asked questions

What's included in the lead time — just shipping, or production too?

The ranges we publish cover the full window from production start to delivery, including quality inspection and international shipping — not just the sea or air transit time.

Does the lead time start when I sign the contract?

Production begins after design approval and contract signing. Design and quoting happen before that, so total project time from first consultation to delivery is longer than the production-and-shipping window alone.

Can shipping be expedited?

Depending on destination and order size, some flexibility exists — discuss timeline priorities with our team during the quoting stage so we can advise honestly on what's realistic.
