From consultation to move-in: our 9-step process explained

Our homepage lists our process in nine short steps — useful as a summary, but it compresses a lot of real work into a few words. Here's what actually happens at each stage, and roughly how long it takes.

01–02 · Consultation and conceptual design

We start by understanding your site, budget, timeline and how you actually intend to live in the space — not just square meters and bedroom count. From there we develop architectural concepts tailored to your specific climate and plot, whether that starts from one of our standard floor plans or a completely custom brief.

03–04 · Quote and approval

We price the project transparently at this stage — this is deliberate: cost surprises mid-build are one of the biggest frustrations in traditional construction, and prefabrication lets us avoid most of them by pricing the bulk of the work before production starts. You review, we refine, and nothing moves to production until you've signed off on both design and price.

05 · Contract and deposit

Terms, payment schedule and deliverables are documented clearly before any material is cut. This is also when we confirm final specifications — material choices across Teak, Merbau, Bengkirai and Ironwood, finish levels, and furnishing scope if you're using our furniture & interiors service as well.

06 · Production

Prefabrication begins at our Bali facility. This is the longest single stage, and its duration depends on project size and complexity — a Compact Villa moves through production faster than a Luxury Estate or a fully bespoke design.

07 · Quality control

Every component is inspected before it's packed for export — this isn't a final spot-check, it's built into the production workflow. It's one of the structural advantages of prefabrication over on-site construction, where quality control is harder to standardize across a build.

08 · Shipping

International logistics and export documentation — timelines vary meaningfully by destination, from roughly 4–8 weeks within Southeast Asia to 10–14 weeks for the Americas. We cover the realistic ranges for every region in our shipping times guide.

09 · Assembly support

Installation is carried out by licensed local contractors in your country, to ensure compliance with local building regulations — but we don't hand off and disappear. We provide full technical documentation and direct, ongoing support to coordinate the build at every stage, from the team that designed and fabricated your home.

Why we don't skip steps

Every stage here exists because skipping it creates risk somewhere downstream — unclear pricing leads to disputes, skipped QC leads to field problems, no documentation leads to installation errors. The process looks structured because unstructured international construction projects are where things go wrong.
